Atopic eczema
Atopic eczema is very common form of eczema found. Atopic eczema is related with Asthma and also hay fever. It is also said that atopic eczema is hereditary. Research says that, there is a gene or a chromosome 11 which causes atopic eczema to trigger. Due to this the immune system starts reacting to substances which are harmless to a common person.
Atopic eczema attack results in reduction of natural oil production for skin : this results in skin becoming dry and the skin flakes. Because of the inflammation the capillaries present in the skin becomes widely open, this results in more blood flow through it. This action makes the skin more red and burning. Because of the burning sensation, people tend to scratch and scratching makes the skin even worse. Scratching will cause the skin to crack and allow the infection enter into the skin.
Atopic eczema normally affects forehead, scalp and cheeks. This infection then can spread to other areas of the body like hands, wrists, bend of the elbows, knees, back of the feet, ankles. From the cracked skin, the fluid oozes out of the skin. This fluid contains clotting agent which we can normally found in blood.
Atopic eczema is linked with urticaria or hives. Women suffer from dermatitis of the nipples.
