Dermatitis herpetiformis

Dermatitis herpetiformis starts between the age of 15 – 40. Dermatitis herpetiformis is more commonly found in men then in women. It is a type of a skin rash with red patches all over the body. These patches are found on the elbows, back of the neck, scalp, upper back, buttocks and knees.
It is observed that Dermatitis herpetiformis is a reaction of protein found in wheat, rye, barley and oats. This protein is also known as gluten.
