Precaution against H1N1 virus or Swine flu
What is H1N1 virus?
From data and evidence it is found out that the primary way of transmitting A(H1N1) virus is through respiratory droplets. These droplets can be transmitting while speaking, coughing or sneezing.
Person coming in contact with someone who is infected with influenza like symptoms for eg: fever, coughing, sneezing, fatigue, body ache, headache etc has a potentially high risk of getting infected. Using mask can help contain the respiratory droplets within itself, and avoid spreading. It is very important to have an individual mask for every person, reusing the mask has even more high risk of getting infected with influenza virus.
Precautionary measures against swine flue A(H1N1)
H1N1 influenza has spread all over the world. As we all are aware that every day there are new cases related to swine flu are coming. To protect ourselves from getting infected with the H1N1 influenza, some important safety measures need to be taken by every individual.
- A person traveling from abroad should undergo strict examination by a doctor to find out traces of swine flu or H1N1 if any.
- If any one experiences symptoms of swine flu like Fever, Soar Throat, Cough, Body-ache, Headache, Chills & fatigue, Diarrhea or vomiting contact your nearest hospital immediately.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick. When you are sick, keep distance from others to protect them from getting sick.
- When you are sick stay away from public places like work and school.
- Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue while coughing or sneezing,
- Washing your hands often will help protect you from germs.
- Get plenty of sleep, be physically active, manage your stress, drink plenty of fluids, and eat nutritious food.
- It is advisable to wear a mask to avoid or prevent the A(H1N1) transmission.
