Breathing difficulty

A person finds difficult to breath at different times like after brisk walk, after having exercise. A person finds difficulty in breathing when the rate and depth at which you breath changes. People having asthma also finds difficult to breath normally. People have a hole in mouth or windpipe (angioedema) also at times complaint about breathlessness.

Anxiety, cough and wheezing are some of the symptoms of breathlessness.
Anything that triggers asthma may cause breathing difficulties.
Airborne particles, cold, flu, strong smells, sinusitis, viral infection, exercise, dust mites, excitement and the list goes on. To give you more detailed list of the possible allergens is as follows:

  • Allergens: pollen; animal fur or feathers, saliva and urine; house dust mite; moulds
  • Chemicals: butyl alcohol, formaldehyde, isocyanates, volatile organic compounds
  • Following food are found allergic for breathing barley, beef, celery, corn, egg, milk, oats, orange, pork, soya, wheat.
  • Food additives: colors, preservatives
  • Medication: ACE inhibitors, amoxicillin, antibiotics, antiemetics, aspirin, beta-blockers, cephalosporins, frusemide, ibuprofen, insulin.
  • Solvents: amyl alcohol, iso-propanol, methyl alcohol, aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, esters, glycols, glycol ethers, halogenated solvents, ketone solvents.

For treating the breathing problem following medication is normally used:
Bronchodilators – sympathomimetics, anticholinergics, xanthines and corticosteroids.
