Gastric upset

Inflammation of the intestine and stomach is called gastric upset.
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and abdominal pain are some of the other symptoms for gastric upset.
Cinnamon, coriander, horseradish, sulphur dioxide, salicylates, preservatives, antioxidants, isocyanates, volatile organic compounds, kiwi fruit, oats, onions, orange, beef, buckwheat, shellfish are some of the triggering ingredients for gastric upset.
- Massaging the abdomen with chamomile, manjoram, orange oil mixed with carrier oil in 1:5 proportions. The carrier oil can be sweet almond oil.
- Meadowsweet teas.
- Slippery elm is another herb which mixed in warm water.
- Avoid aspirin, instead use paracetamol.
- Avoid drinking alcohol.
- Drink lots of fluid to avoid dehydration.
- Take live yoghurt and ripe banana, cut the banana into pieces and mix with yoghurt. This will help settling the stomach.
