Indigestion

Indigestion is caused due to various reasons. It may be because of heartburn, acidity, wind or bloating. This causes the abdominal malfunctioning and because of it the digestion is not proper. Indigestion can also be because of the spicy meal along with acidity. If the digestion is not proper and because of acidity the stomach feels a burning sensation or even gnawing noise. Abdominal pain, nausea, wind and heartburn are some of the other symptoms get to see along with indigestion.

Indigestion is some what similar to heartburn so the remedies or treatments for indigestion are going to be more or less similar.

Treatments

Black pepper, chamomile, coriander, fennel, ginger are good oils to have an abdominal massage. Ofcourse these oils are to be mixed with some carrier oils in 1:5 ratios. There are different methods which gives better results, it is said to give the massage in a clockwise direction. Definitely the massage is to be given by an expert and should have knowledge about it.

Homeopathic remedies.
Kalium muriaticum is a homeopathic medicine given when a person suffers from indigestion. Though the purpose of indigestion is because of the fatty food intake.
Carbo vegetalis is yet another medicine given for indigestion with flatulence.

Consuming antacid medication will help in neutralizing the acid in the stomach.
Alginates helps in forming a layer on top of the stomach separating the acid in stomach and the oesophagus.
Prokinetics helps in contracting the stomach muscles. Because of the contraction of the muscle the food content in the stomach is pushed down. And in this way the food waste and the indigested food creating problem in the stomach can be removed. Prokinetics are quite new in the medical market so it is always better to get a prescribed medicine rather than just trying out medicines on your self. Such medicines can be sometimes harmful if not consumed the right one.

Follow some of the basic steps to overcome or avoid indigestion
Drink milk it is one of the cooling agent and helps to get red of acidity. If you feel that acidity is causing you trouble, then soda water or even cider vinegar with water can sooth the problem.
Should consume some seeds which gives out some sort of oils that relives nausea or can soothe intestine muscles. Honey is one of the ancient Egyptian remedy for indigestion.
Have many small meals. During a meal eat slowly and chew the food properly, because as we know the first step of digestion starts from our mouth by chewing the food properly.
