Irritation of mucous membranes.

When the throat and eyelids are swollen, painful and inflamed then it is said to a problem with mucous membrane. The irritation of this mucous membrane is caused due to various factors, the major possiblilty is because of allergies. Chemicals like benzyl alcohol, volatile organic compounds, kiwi fruit, food additives, anti-caking agents, garlic and latex. Refer to conjunctivitis for more details on the eye problem. Painkillers and infusions or capsules are used as remedies for such mucous membrane problems.
