Mouth ulcers

Mouth ulcers are lesions present in the mouth. It could be on the tongue, inside of the cheeks or temple of the mouth.
Preservatives, menthol, artificial color are some of the triggering elements for mouth ulcer.

Treatment for mouth ulcer

  • Treatment for mouth ulcer, Mixing two tsp of cider vinegar with a drop of cypress oil or myrrh oil and cleaning the mouth will work as mouthwash.
  • Applying tea tree oil on the sore can also work. Tea tree can work as antiseptic and can helps in relieving pain. This is one of the best mouth ulcer treatment.
  • Cut the garlic and press it hard to get the oil out of it. Apply this oil on the ulcer 2 times a day. But remember this treatment for mouth ulcer is going to burn a bit.
  • Vitamin E oil may help in healing the mouth ulcers.
  • Marigold, Purple sage, Calendula tincture, Thyme, Myrrh could be used for mouthwash. This treatment will help to kill the bacteria and heal up the mouth ulcers.

Home remedies for mouth ulcers

  • Antiseptic mouthwash, folic-acid and hydrocortisone pellets could be used as home remedies treatment for mouth ulcers.
  • Take a used tea bag. Make sure it is warm and put it on the sore for few minutes. The tea powder will release tannic acid which is an astringent. This astringent will help reduce the inflammation. Help in curing the sore.
  • Take a pinch of soda bicarbonate. Place it on the sore, be careful this is going to burn a little, but this will try to kill the bacteria around it and prevent new ulcers from occurring.
  • Mix glycerin with turmeric and apply it on the ulcer. This will cool the burning.
  • Cabbage juice will help in healing the ulcers. Cabbage juice as the antiseptic property and gives soothing feeling. Cabbage juice also activates the immune-system to generate antibodies to fight against the bacteria.
  • Lemon juice with water can be used as mouthwash. This will help to clean up the sore and kill the bacteria. As lemon is rich in Vitamin C it also helps in healing the sores.
