Sneezing

Sneezing occurs because of the irritation in the respiratory track. It can be either because of allergic rhinitis or some irritable substance like pepper or dust. Running nose and conjunctivitis are some of the other symptoms that may occur along with sneezing. Airborne particles, air pollutants, alcohol, bacteria, dyes, food, spices dust, gases, fumes are the possible triggers for sneezing.
Treatments for sneezing
- Acupuncture is one of the treatment for treating sneezing.
- Decongestants is one of the OTC remedies for sneezing.
- Antihistamines and sodium cromoglycate are the medicines given for treating sneezing.
- Apply petroleum jelly around your nose
- Cider vinegar is a good decongestant. Mix cider vinegar and honey in hot water and drink, this will relieve from nasal congestion.
- Inhaling steam will help reducing sneezing. Steam will open up the respiratory track and make breathing easy.
